From Google to Yahoo! to AlltheWeb, the world of Web searching keeps
changing. This workshop covers Web searching strategies and compares
the major Web search engines in terms of their underlying databases and
advanced search capabilities. It includes what you need to know about
techniques
such as truncation, wild card words, Boolean, adjacency, field
searching,
limits, and more. Compare what works and what doesn’t
at each of the major search engines, and learn tips and tricks for more
effective searching.
Outrageous Customer Service

Providing great customer service requires skill, practice and a basic
understanding of how we respond as customers. Participants will learn
twelve criteria of customer service, techniques to inspire colleagues
and handle difficult customers. We will categorize personal buying preferences
and patterns and discuss means to integrate this knowledge into a personal
customer service strategy. Participants are encouraged to share recent
staffing and patron experiences.
