2005 NJLA CONFERENCEWelcome from the PresidentWelcome to the 2005 Annual Conference. Committees, roundtables, and sections have been hard at work planning the events for these two and one half days! We know you will find the wide variety of programs from which you can choose to be informative as well as enjoyable. Join us as we celebrate The Three Rs: The Right to Read, The Right to Learn and The Right to Grow in libraries of all types! Libraries represent the heart and soul of a democratic society. The First Amendment to the Constitution guarantees the right to free speech, but if people cannot get access to that speech, it does little good. Libraries provide access to information and ideas, and make it possible for people of all ages to learn what they want or need to know. We are here for everyone - from infants to mature adults – in public institutions, in schools, in colleges, in businesses and in special organizations. So, let’s celebrate together our ability to offer our customers the right to read, the right to learn and the right to grow @ our libraries! Thank you for your support of the New Jersey Library Association.
