LIBRARY Reporting to the Associate State Librarian for Library Development, the person in this position will also be expected to maintain regular communication with the Director of the State Library’s Information Technology Department. The person in this position will be expected to make site visits to libraries for initial technology consultations regarding the Jersey Connect statewide technology initiative to determine their needs; reports and recommendations regarding these visits will be made on a regular basis to the Directors of both the Library Development Bureau and the Information Technology Department. Responsible for all technology-related presentations on behalf of the State Library at meetings and conferences both statewide and nationally. Required to represent the State Library on technology-related committees and report back to the Bureau as needed. Coordinates programs and initiatives focusing on access to the Internet in public libraries, including state library supported e-mail and Internet accounts for public libraries, and serves as state E-Rate Coordinator.
