Abstract: The vast number of electronic resources available to users in most academic libraries have provided users with access to a wealth of information, but have also made finding full-text copies of articles a daunting task. During the summer of 2004, Monmouth University implemented Serial Solutions’ Article Linker, an OpenURL link resolver, to facilitate user access to full-text journals articles in any of the Library’s databases.

This poster session will discuss:

service introduction to users
user response
customizing service with a “GET ARTICLE” icon
examples of implementation in databases
customizing interface screen, including creating a link for ILL requests
technical issues faced in implementing a service that is not completely seamless among aggregators.
