- The User Education Committee presents formal and informal programs and workshops of interest to academic instruction librarians.
Research Committee
- The Research Committee promotes research among academic librarians by sponsoring the Research Forum at the NJLA Conference, by honoring a New Jersey librarian for the best published research annually and by supporting other activities that encourage sharing information about research projects.

Technology Committee
The Technology Committee sponsors programs and other activities for meeting the technological challenges facing libraries and librarians. Each year at the NJLA Spring Conference, the Committee presents the NJLA Technology Innovation Award, which honors a librarian or group of librarians for innovative use and application of technology in a New Jersey academic library.
