Members of the national Association of College and Research Libraries are automatically members of the New Jersey Chapter and receive a copy of the chapter newsletter. You may join the College and University Section as a personal or affiliate member of NJLA. For the first year, the basic fee for a personal membership is $60.00, with free membership in all sections and round table. Thereafter, the annual fee depends on your salary, or, if you are a member of national ACRL, you may join NJLA as an affiliate member at a fixed fee of $60.00. Services offered to members of NJLA include the NJLA Newsletter published four times a year and access to the twenty-four-hour job hotline. Click here for the pdf version of the NJLA ACRL 2006 Brochure for more information about us.

To become an officer of the ACRL New Jersey Chapter/NJLA College and University Section, you must be at least an affiliate member of the New Jersey Library Association. NJLA provides financial, planning, and public relations support for section programming at the annual conferences and partial support for the section/chapter newsletter. ACRL provides advisory and financial support. Financial support is based on chapter membership numbers. ACRL offers special initiative funds, provides association speakers to the chapters, and maintains a Chapters Council as a national forum in which the chapter leaders exchange ideas, discuss issues, and become involved in ACRL affairs.
