2004 Research Award         Research Forum Presenters

Nominations and Applications for 2004 Research Award

To recognize excellence in research efforts of New Jersey Librarians, the Research Committee of the NJLA College and University Section and the ACRL New Jersey Chapter seeks nominations and applications for its annual Research Award to honor the best-published research completed by a New Jersey Librarian. The Award will be presented at the NJLA Annual Conference on April 13, 2005, at the Ocean Place Conference Center, Long Branch. All types of research published in 2004 will be considered, including books, journal articles, bibliographies, and electronic publications. A New Jersey librarian practicing or professionally active in the New Jersey library community must be the author or co-author. Doctoral dissertations and master’s theses are not eligible; however, publications based on them will be considered. Seton Hall University Libraries will provide an honorarium to the winner. Individuals may nominate themselves or a colleague. Please submit to the Chair, by February 4, 2005, a letter of nomination that specifies evidence and significance of original research. A copy of the publication in either electronic or hard copy format should accompany the nomination.

Call For Papers for Research Forum

To promote research by New Jersey librarians, the Research Committee of the NJLA College and University Section and the ACRL New Jersey Chapter seeks presenters for the Research Forum to be held at the NJLA Annual Conference on April 13, 2005, at the Ocean Place Conference Center, Long Branch. New Jersey librarians who are involved in, or have participated in any type of research project are invited to give a brief presentation of the project during the Forum. Please submit your application including: Name, Address, Telephone, Email, Title of Research, and Abstract (150-200 words) by February 4, 2005, to the Chair. Email submissions are preferred. Those selected for presentation will by notified by March 1, 2005.
