The User Education Committee
is a subcommittee of the New Jersey Chapter of the
Association of College and Research Libraries and the
College and University Section of the New Jersey Library
Association. The function of the committee is to promote
information literacy as an educational goal, and to
support the development and pursuit of excellence of
library user education programs. The committee produces
professional development programs on teaching and learning
in libraries, disseminates information about information
literacy and user education, and serves as a forum for the
discussion of issues relating to information literacy.

Are you a former
member?
We'd love to have you back. And
even if you don't have time to be an active member,
you can still help us out. We're trying to assemble
a committee archive, and our records are very
sketchy prior to 2001. If you have copies of
minutes, program packets, or other documents
relating to the history of the User Education
Committee, and are willing to share, please contact
an officer of the committee to make arrangements.
