INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER BENEFITS

As an institutional member of NJLA, your library receives numerous benefits. NJLA is your advocate in Trenton. In recent years, NJLA has worked on a variety of legislative initiatives including public library construction funding, the Knowledge Initiative and funding for statewide data bases. Your support makes this possible.

In addition, your library receives direct financial benefits. They are:

• The ability to advertise professional librarian positions on the NJLA jobline. Libraries that are not institutional members are charged $50.00 per announcement.

• A voucher that will allow you or a staff member to attend a fee-based NJLA program for free (excluding the annual conference). Examples of recent programs include Youth Services Forum; Readers’ Advisory Workshop; Leading Through Reading; Performers’ Showcase; and Literacy Forum.

• A subscription to the New Jersey Libraries NEWSletter. (However, membership in the NJLA sections, roundtables and listservs is a benefit only to personal members of the Association.)
