New Jersey Public Libraries (From the NJ State Library's Public Library Statistics 2007,  Oct. 2008). There has been an increase in every statistical measure of library usage from the previous year.

• Circulation – 55,876,647
• Program Attendance - 3,370,373

Statewide Summer Reading: New Jersey's children read 1,537,224 books in the summer of 2008 with the number of participants increasing to 154,550.
