NJLA Executive Board Nominations

The Executive Board currently seeks candidates for the following positions for the 2022-2023 year. Terms begin on July 1, 2022.

  • First Vice President/President-Elect - Member with the highest number of votes: enters a three-year term (First Vice President/President-Elect; NJLA President; Past President)  Member with the second-highest number of votes: becomes Second Vice President (one-year term)
  • Treasurer (two-year term)
  • Secretary (one-year term)
  • ALA councilor (three-year term)
  • Member-at-Large (three-year term)

The Nominations and Election Committee is accepting nomination petitions up until February 1, 2022. Only NJLA members in good standing (current on their membership) will be accepted as candidates. To facilitate the nominations process, interested candidates should complete the form below. A statement about your interest in the position and a short biography are required



Support for Nomination Petitions

In order for a nomination petition to be complete, it must be supported by fifteen (15) other NJLA members in good standing. An existing online form will allow you to support a candidate's petition (i.e. "sign" the petition). A link to this form will be shared with you after membership status is verified. All names of support must be registered by February 5, 2022. Note: A "signature" of support for a nomination petition is not a ballot in the election; you will need to respond to a separate online invitation to vote.




Within one week of the close of the petitions, a separate communication will be sent to all members in good standing with information on the candidates.  Additional information will be sent out with access to cast your vote in the election between February 23 - March 5, 2022. 

After you have submitted a completed form and NJLA has verified your NJLA Membership Status is current, you will be sent the link for the Support for Nomination Petitions webform.
