NJ Fine-Free Libraries
As of 2024, the following libraries are completely fine-free, that is, they have no late fines on books for any age group.
Of the 295 public libraries in NJ that completed the State Library’s annual survey, not counting branches, 123 are fine-free, or 42%. An additional 43% continue to have fines and 15% have not reported.
If your library is completely fine-free and does not appear in this directory, or if your library appears on the list despite still having fines, an admin for your library's njla.org account can change the fine-free status in the library's profile or you may notify NJLA’s Statistics and Data Committee at stats@njla.org.
We are grateful to the NJ State Library and NJLA’s Diversity and Outreach Section for collecting the data used to make this list.
