Professional Bio

Natasha Zaleski (she/they) is a Cataloging Librarian at the New Jersey State Library. She is one of five catalogers. She specializes in rare books and special collections, maps, and state government documents. Natasha also catalogs new nonfiction material. She works with a variety of formats (mostly monographs, serials, maps, and some occasional visual items and manuscripts). The date ranges Natasha deals with cover the late 1700s to the present day.

She graduated from Rutgers University with a MLIS in 2012. She has worked in public and academic libraries and one historical society.

When not working, Natasha enjoys nature photography, hiking, video games, jigsaw puzzles, and playing with her pets.
