Nathalia Bermudez

Nathalia Bermudez is The Head of Adult Services at the East Orange Public Library, with a background in collection development, programing and reference services.
Starting in 2008, Nathalia has transitioned from a library assistant, to reference librarian, to supervisor and department head. She has spearheaded the incorporation of social media into the library’s online presence, and created successful programs focusing on literature, reading, literacy, film, dance, art, self-improvement and assistance to ESL and ESOL speakers. She has provided outreach to the community through things such as homebound services, back to school nights, career days, and other City events. Her literature background provides the three book clubs she runs a deeper examination of the texts. Whether it is a classic, literary fiction or a comic book she is a bibliophile who never tires of discussing and recommending a good book.
Nathalia earned her M.L.I.S. from Rutgers University in 2006 after graduating from William Paterson University in 2004 with a M.A. in English Literature.
