History & Preservation Section

The History and Preservation Section brings together professionals across various disciplines and institutions to share knowledge, build professional skills, and celebrate the people and places preserving New Jersey's history. The section hosts professional development workshops on topics like preservation, digitization, copyright, and local history collections, tours special collections and archives at NJ institutions, promotes the work of NJ archivists and conservators, recognizes achievements through its awards, and organizes exhibits and conference programming — all with the goal of serving as a stronger resource for members and fostering greater collaboration across the history and preservation fields.
