Library Director - Livingston Manor–Roscoe Library

Job Hotline,

Job Description:

Located in the southwest corner of the Catskill Park, the hamlets of Livingston Manor
and Roscoe boast world-class trout fishing streams, hiking, hunting,
waterfalls, lakes, and ponds, as well as a vibrant community of locally owned
businesses. Livingston Manor is known as a “small town with a big back yard”
and Roscoe is known as “Trout Town USA.”

The hamlets lie in the town of Rockland, which is conveniently located
approximately two hours from New York City, Connecticut, New Jersey, and
Pennsylvania. You’ll find a strong sense of volunteerism in both hamlets and a
love of nature and local history. The arts are alive with the Catskill Art
Space in Livingston Manor and the Roscoe Arts Collective.

The library is an important member of both communities. With a board of 16
dedicated trustees, the library currently includes two branches and is in the
preliminary stages of a construction project. The library serves the same
district as the Rockland Central School, with approximately a population of
5,000. We are an association library with 9 employees.

The Livingston Manor–Roscoe Library is seeking a dynamic, community-focused leader
to serve as its next Library Director. This is a unique opportunity to guide a
