P/T, Youth Services - Paramus Public Library
Job Description:
The Paramus Public Library is seeking a creative, motivated and passionate new member for our busy youth services department.
Qualifications: MLS, MLS student, or have prior experience working in a youth services department
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Computer literacy a must
Excellent customer service skills–must love working with children!
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the other youth services librarians in
developing, planning and implementing and carrying out library programs
for youth, including storytimes, crafts, and school and class visits
- Reader’s advisory
- Artistic ability a plus
- Collection development
- Other duties as assigned
Hours: 24 flexible hours/week that include one night a week and being a part of the Saturday rotation.
Salary: NJLA minimum/commensurate with experience
