City. These two cities, often called the twin cities, offer many amenities for
both residents and visitors. Overlooking the Red River, Shreveport has plenty
of entertainment, from theaters and museums to local food and casinos. The city
hosts festivals and events all year, including the Mudbug Madness Cajun Festival, Mardi Gras parades, and Red River Revel Arts Festival. Several colleges and universities
are based here, including Centenary College, LSU Shreveport, Louisiana Tech,
Louisiana Baptist University, Bossier Parish Community College, and Northwest
Louisiana Technical Community College.
