Call for proposals opens for 2026 NJ Academic Libraries Conference

The Planning Committee for the 2026 New Jersey Academic Libraries Conference* seeks proposals for Posters & Breakout Sessions, Lighting Talks, and Roundtable Discussions to be presented at the conference which will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Liberty Hall Academic Center of Kean University in Union, NJ.
This year’s theme - Leadership, Partnership, Empowerment: Libraries Advancing Success in Higher Education - invites us to explore how academic libraries can provide leadership around student success, faculty research and campus initiatives. Proposals may address those areas as well as the partnerships libraries establish in order to advance success on campus and/or our ability to empower users to drive progress across campus and beyond. This theme encourages presentations and conversations related to:
-
library collaborations with other campus or community stakeholders
-
ways in which libraries have led initiatives or provided other types of leadership around key issues in higher education or their local context
-
services, policies, practices, or programs that empower all types of library users to pursue academic excellence and success
While proposals connected to the theme are strongly encouraged, all topics will be given due consideration to ensure a breadth of interests and initiatives are represented in the program.
Submit the Proposal Form by Monday, October 20, 2025. Decisions regarding proposals will be announced by Friday, October 31, 2025.
