Technology Overview

NJLA.org (Novi)

Novi powers both the NJLA member database and the website you are viewing now. The platform also handles events, financial transactions, committee terms, and security permissions for all NJLA groups.

Member Community Pages (Higher Logic)

Higher Logic powers the Member Community sites at members.njla.org. All committees, sections, task forces, the Executive Board, and the Leadership Team all have their own private communities.

Each community has an e-list (distribution list), a library for storing and sharing files, and the ability to post blogs.

  • E-Lists: All messages from e-lists are saved in the community so you can go back and read them at any time.
  • Libraries: There are two kinds of libraries within each community: a private community-only library for storing files, and a public library where your meeting minutes live.
  • Blogs: Blogs are able to be shared with just your community, all NJLA members, or made viewable by the public.

    Google Shared Drives (Google)

Drive.google.com is where all committees and sections will store their files. It is imperative that all files are stored on this Drive. For more information and instructions, see Archival Procedures.
