Dunellen Public Library – Dunellen, NJ
The Dunellen Public Library seeks a dynamic, community-oriented leader to serve as Library Director. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Director serves as chief administrative officer, overseeing daily operations, staff supervision, budgeting, collection development, programming, and community relations.
The Library serves a diverse borough of approximately 7,500 residents in Middlesex County and plays a central role in supporting lifelong learning, technology access, and inclusive public service.
Qualifications:
MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution required; New Jersey Professional Librarian Certification (or eligibility) required. Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible public library experience, including supervision and budget management. Knowledge of New Jersey public library law and experience serving diverse communities preferred.
Salary: $82,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits per Borough policy.
